Cisco Network Engineer

Job Description

• Lead and manage large-scale network deployments and migrations.
• Provide engineering support for a wide range of network devices, including Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki, Digi, and Cradlepoint.
• Design and implement scalable and redundant network solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, client stakeholders, and vendors to align network solutions with business objectives.
• Handle urgent escalations and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Partner with DevOps to automate configuration processes and improve deployment efficiency.
• Conduct network infrastructure migrations to optimize operational costs and enhance performance.
• Transition and standardize management platforms for cellular routers and other network devices.
• Provide technical support and documentation for complex troubleshooting scenarios.

• Over 6 years of experience in network engineering, managing large-scale customer networks.
• Expertise in Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiAP, FortiSwitch, FortiAuthenticator).
• Proficiency in Cisco ASA firewalls, ISR routers, and Catalyst switches.
• Experience with Meraki MX firewalls, MR access points, and MS switches.
• Knowledge of Digi and Cradlepoint cellular routers.
• Strong understanding of VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN, FortiClient, Fortinet ADVPN).
• Proficiency in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and policy routing.
• Familiarity with network security features (IPS, web filtering, application control, NAT, SSL inspection).
• Certifications in Fortinet (Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist: Network Security, Fortinet Certified Professional: Network Security).

• Experience in leading network infrastructure migrations and optimizing operational costs.
• Proven ability to handle high-profile escalations and provide timely resolutions.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
