Job Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for leading cross functional programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction, internal team performance, cost control, and risk mitigation in a manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, managing scope, schedule, budget, and performance to deliver high quality results aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Program & Customer Management
- Serve as the primary interface between customers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication of program scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Drive customer satisfaction by proactively managing expectations, addressing concerns, and resolving issues
- Lead program reviews with customers and internal leadership to report progress, risks, and performance metrics
Internal Team Performance
- Lead cross functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and finance
- Establish clear program goals, milestones, and accountability across internal teams
- Monitor team performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve execution and efficiency
Budgeting & Financial Control
- Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking throughout the program lifecycle
- Monitor labor, material, and overhead costs to ensure programs meet profitability and financial targets
- Analyze cost variances and implement corrective actions in collaboration with finance and operations teams
Risk Management & Mitigation
- Identify program risks related to schedule, cost, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing capacity
- Develop and execute risk mitigation and contingency plans
- Escalate critical issues appropriately and drive resolution to prevent program disruption
Manufacturing & Process Oversight
- Coordinate program activities within a manufacturing environment, ensuring alignment with production capabilities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, delivery, and cost efficiency
- Ensure adherence to internal processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in program or project management within a manufacturing environment
