Salary/Pay Rate: $145,000

Type: DIRECT HIRE

Archon Resources is currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager for Direct Hire to join one of our best clients located in Tulsa, OK. This is a permanent position with full benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO, & 401k.  

 

Summary:
The Senior Engineering Manager provides leadership and direction to the Team Leaders (Mechanical and Electrical teams), managing the department based on Safety, Quality, On Time Delivery, and Continuous Improvements priorities. CRTS manufactures and operates technologically advanced equipment, that combines intricate electronic and mechanical designs. The Engineering Manager must be able to coordinate the interaction of these areas to meet the priorities mentioned above.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, scopes, and develops new mechanical engineering initiatives and projects, and manages them through their life cycles.
  • Manages a team of mechanical engineers designing parts, engines, tools, or other mechanical equipment and industrial processes.
  • Helps establish programs to support training, process improvements, and the creation and maintenance of best practices, procedures, and protocols.
  • Interfaces with other departments to identify new potential products and projects.
  • Manages electrical engineering projects and activities within an organization.
  • Implements policies and procedures and develops tools for designing, testing, installing, and maintaining electronic equipment or devices.
  • Evaluates, coaches, and develops engineers and technicians.
  • Coordinates projects with other technical teams and vendors to ensure engineering projects are appropriately staffed and milestones are achieved.
  • Reviews and approves new or revised designs, testing, or installation procedures.
  • Accountable for the backlog of the tasks under the Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) in terms of assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and closing investigations.
  • The focal point for the implementation of the new Manufacturing Requirements Planning – MRP inside the Enterprise Resource Planning – ERP. The incumbent will become the Subject Matter Expert in dealing with the modules of manufacturing, engineering, and procurement.
  • Safety oversight of all engineering designs and concepts.
  • Implementation of measures to reduce engineering-induced rework, meaning the implementation of quality controls, checklists, and other process-improvement processes, and procedures to avoid red money.
  • Prioritization of tasks and schedules to meet the needs of the company (owner of the owner of SolidWorks Engineering Backlog).
  • Coordination of staffing requirements, and selection of personnel.

Requirements:

  • BS Engineering degree. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in machinery manufacturing and engineering design (electrical or mechanical).
  • 8+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong project management skills. Preferred knowledge in Scrum Methodology.
  • Background and experience with ERP Integrations/implementations. Knowledge of Oracle MRP (Finance, Manufacturing, and Purchasing Modules) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern CAD software, and SolidWorks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations for manufacturing and utilization of pipeline construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of purchasing and inventory methodology.
  • Current passport or ability to obtain.
  • Eligible to obtain Visas for any required country of deployment.
  • Availability to travel up to 25% of the time to other locations in the Middle East for business purposes.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the required employee is occasionally to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
