Archon Resources is currently looking for a Power Generation Engineer that is a contract to hire to join one of our best clients located in Tulsa, OK. This is a contract to hire position with the opportunity to convert to permanent after 9 months.
Summary:
Seeking a skilled Power Generation Engineer with 5+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. Must excel in both electrical and mechanical systems and demonstrate keen interest in power generation technologies. Proficiency in gaseous-fired engines is essential, with diesel engine experience preferred. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing engine generator power generation systems for efficiency, reliability, and industry compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in power generation to inform design decisions and improve system performance.
- Conduct feasibility studies and performance analyses to optimize power generation efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power generation systems into larger infrastructure projects.
- Participate in regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring that power generation systems meet all applicable safety and environmental standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to field service teams during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation to support project planning, execution, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement maintenance and troubleshooting procedures to ensure ongoing reliability of power generation equipment.
- Design and engineer natural gas engine generator systems, including mechanical and electrical system design and integration for stationary and mobile generator sets.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation engineering or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with gaseous fired engines is required, with familiarity with diesel engines preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
