Position: Carrier Payables Specialist
Position Type: Accounting
Compensation: $55,000.00 to $60,000.00
Location: Oklahoma City

Job Summary: 

Are you seeking a company that’s growing and values employees who want to grow alongside it? Archon Resources is currently looking for a Carrier Payables Specialist to join our team!

As a Carrier Payables Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate payment of insurance carrier accounts. This role requires strong skills in reconciliation, research, and balancing of carrier payments. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented and dedicated to maintaining precise financial records.


Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of carrier statements and individual carrier invoices against EPIC invoicing records.
  • Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with internal Account Managers or carrier contacts to determine and implement corrective actions.
  • Process payments to Finance Companies as needed for financed policies.
  • Oversee the subsidiary ledger to guarantee timely payments to carriers and maintain accurate records in the agency management system.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier contacts to foster open communication and facilitate collaborative issue resolution.
  • Engage in seminars and training programs to continuously enhance knowledge and skills.

Education and Certifications: HS Diploma 

Qualifications and Requirements: 
  • Demonstrate basic accounting knowledge, including proficiency in journal entries. MUST HAVE APPLIED EPIC EXPERIENCE
  • Possess strong computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), and familiarity with automated agency management systems.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data input and solid math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Be a team player, dedicated to finding accommodating solutions for customers, companies, and the Agency.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks, and work independently.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, interacting effectively with colleagues and managers at all levels.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring customer, company, and Agency needs are met.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
