Salary/Pay Rate: $135,000

Archon Resources is currently looking for a Controller - Direct Hire to join one of our best clients located in Tulsa, OK. This is a Permanent position with full benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO, & 401k. 

Summary:

The Controller role requires a strong background in public accounting and with an equally strong background of managing a team and staff. The Controller will work closely with the senior management to support financial decision-making and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. The applicant will oversee all accounting operations within the company, which includes maintain financial records of three legal entities, preparing financial reports and managing a team of accounting professionals.  

Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals. 
• Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and provide professional development opportunities and coach direct reports on doing the same. 
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment with attention to detail and deadlines. 
• Oversee filing of quarterly and annual US Census Bureau reports. 
• Monitor and manage financial risks, including cash flow, credit, and operational risks. 
• Oversee sales and income tax compliance. 
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local financial regulations. 
• Develop, document and maintain company accounting policies and procedures. 
• Identify opportunities for process and cost improvements; assist with implementation. 
• Provide financial insights and recommendations for business decision-making. Partner with the CFO and senior management to develop financial strategies that support the company's growth and profitability goals. 

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. 
• CPA preferred, not required. 
• Proven experience in managing teams and leading financial operations in a mid-sized company. 
• 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in public accounting. 
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. 
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. 
• Detail oriented and highly organized with ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
• Ability to work well under pressure and ability to meet challenging deadlines. 
• Proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables and lookup/match/index functions. 
• Proficiency in financial software and integrated ERP systems. 
• Manufacturing experience, including Cost Accounting.
• Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration PREFERRED.
