Archon Resources is currently looking for an AS/400 - ERP Developer to join one of our clients located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.
Summary:
Analyzes complex business systems and develops applications for executing business processes, exercising independent judgment. Responsible for all phases of the product development life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing and quality assurance.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Confers with users or systems development staff to define systems requirements.
- Designs or assists in designing detailed specifications for programs/systems, ensuring conformance.
- Solid understanding of programming language(s):
- RPG II, III, RPG4 and RPGLE
- Free Format RPG
- SQL
- CLP/CLLE
- .Net/C# (working with RPG)
- IBM i
- C#, HRML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, JavaScript libraries
- FTP, SFTP, SSH
- TAATOOLS
- Tests and debugs programs; devises valid test data.
- Evaluates and modifies existing programs to comply with changes in user requirements or
- Prepares operations, user, and systems documentation.
- Provides user and system support for critical manufacturing and business systems.
- Actively monitor unresolved incident reports and service requests to meet or exceed service level agreements.
- Adhere to change control processes in accordance with corporate IT change management.
- Adhere to published standards and metric goals developed by corporate IT.
- Knowledge of tools such as RJS, Keyesfax/Keyesmail, AS400
- Manages services subdomain using Azure Devops.
- Knowledge of XML and JSON, the ability to read and build on both the IBM I and .NET file types.
- Working knowledge of SSIS
- Operational knowledge level of translating EBCDIC to ASCII
- Knowledge of RPG logic cycle, modules and binding directories.
- Knowledge of IFS to interface data with IBM I and SQL server
- Solid understanding of basic network principles
- Ability to understand and administer SMTP services with AS400
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field including courses in programming, systems analysis, and design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of programming experience including fundamental knowledge in RPG IV and .Net/C# programming.
- Experience with RF systems, printer hardware and PC based programming.
- Experience with AS/400 systems, including control language and RPG skillset.
