Position: Financial Reporting Director

Location: Rogers, Arkansas

Salary/Pay Rate: $135,000

Type: Direct Hire (On-site/Hybrid)

Archon Resources is currently looking for a Financial Reporting Director, Direct Hire, to join one of our best clients located in Rogers, Arkansas. This is a permanent position with full benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO, & 401k.

Summary:

To prepare and file all required financial reporting for public company reporting to the Security and Exchange Commission, along with required oversight for internal controls and information for external auditors. Responsible for review and filing of all income and sales tax returns for federal, state and local levels.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting Director will prepare all reporting to Security and Exchange Commission (quarterly, annually and specific events).
• Monitor accounting rules and applicable changes effecting Car-Mart.
• Provide oversight of all external audits on financial reports, internal controls, sales taxes and income taxes.
• Provide sales tax reporting, research and maintenance for dealerships.
• Provide income tax reporting, research and tax returns.
• Review and monitor internal controls (including Internal Audit review).
• Provide support for loan/credit loss reporting and perform allowance analysis.
• Perform stock option tracking, stock compensation and common stock equivalents calculations.
• Financial Reporting Director will monitor sales contracts for proper add-ons and sales taxes.
• Provide oversight of external audit of 401k plan.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct manager.
• Follow company policies and procedures and support company mission, vision, values and standards of ethics.
• Daily attendance required to ensure all duties are completed in a timely fashion.
• Directly supervises the staff Accountant. 

Requirements:

• Master's Degree or equivalent to four to ten years related experience. 
• Certified Public Accountancy preferred. Equivalent education and related experience accepted. 
• Read, analyze and interpret complex documents and financial reports. 
• Respond to highly sensitive inquiries and complaints. 
• Financial Reporting Director will make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations or controversial and/or complex topics to top management, public groups, and boards of directors. 
• Work with advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. 
• Apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. 
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems. 
• Financial Reporting Director will apply an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and deal with several variables. 
• Hold a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. 
• Proficient with personal computer skills including electronic mail, Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. 
• Ability to master company's purchased commercial and specific software. 
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
