Salary/Pay Rate: $30 Per Hour

Type: Contract To Hire

 

Archon Resources is currently looking for a HSE Coordinator & HR Support for Contract-to-hire to join one of our best clients located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is a Contract to hire position with the opportunity to convert to permanent after 6 months. 
 

Summary:

The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Coordinator / Human Resources (HR) Support position will be responsible for the overall management of a plant’s compliance processes related to health, safety, environmental, and quality. In addition, this role will support HR in monitoring the payroll process and responding to HR-related queries.
 

Responsibilities:

  • The person must coordinate with business leaders and provide knowledge and education on Health and Safety regulations.
  • Full working knowledge of the Company's Business unit’s safety processes.
  • Can work independently with little direction.
  • Has completed various safety certification courses (OSHA).
  • Conduct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory checks and maintain general upkeep on non disposable PPE.
  • Take ownership of reporting any injury or accident at the Tulsa facility to Worker’s Compensation. For this purpose, the incumbent needs to get familiar with the Trinet Worker’s Compensation Packet and work towards preventing risk and claims.
  • Has working knowledge of Drug and Alcohol processes.
  • Can effectively lead safety stand downs regularly and convey actions to the toolbox tasks.
  • Become proficient in using “Workhub” to host HSE training, policies, and documentation.
  • Design and review HSE policies and procedures and keep them updated.
  • Lead HSE training, including HSE Onboarding for new employees and temporary employees hired through the staffing agencies. Make sure all comply with receiving and understanding the HSE policies and procedures.
  • Can effectively communicate in writing and speech. Be able to deliver presentations and lead weekly meetings.
  • Ability to confirm the effectiveness of safety processes to ensure compliance with the company’s Federal/state/provincial/local guidelines.
  • Takes ownership and holds self-accountable for individual portion of work product and safety management.
  • Contributes to group results through problem identification and solution analysis.
  • Demonstrates computer proficiency in creating flash reports and toolbox training.
  • Completion and understanding of basic incident investigation. Heavily focused on root cause analysis and hazard elimination.
  • Own the process of reporting leading and lagging indicators for the Tulsa facility (duly documented in Workhub).
  • This role provides administrative support to the Human Resources Lead, including sourcing and recruiting direct and temporary employees.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks with passport screening, reference, verifications.
  • Coordinate pre-employment Drug and Alcohol tests.
  • Coordinate MVRs if applicable.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new hires.
  • This role is a focal point for employees’ queries, becoming the liaison between the PEO and the employees.
  • Is the payroll support with PEO representing the Company. The role is accountable for reviewing the payroll for salary and hourly employees before submitting for payment. This involves checking the time and absences of all employees and reviewing the PEO’s Invoice.
  • This person will have access to the PEO platform, not only for payroll but also to perform organizational management and HR data transactions on behalf of the company. The transactions will cover the entire Life Cycle of the employee from hiring to termination.
  • The person holding this role needs to become an expert in all the PEO’s HR Cloud features and modules to guide employees and troubleshoot issues.
  • Prepare and monitor employment contracts, including renewals, verification letters.
  • Keep close track of all headcounts of full-time, temporary employees, and contractors, if applicable.
  • Administer and resolve employee HR-related issues with the guidance of the HR VP.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • The individual will possess at least four (4) years of progressive safety experience or a degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and internal clients is essential. The individual must have safety training experience (OSHA 8 hours as minimum).
  • The individual should be proficient in developing policies and training content related to HSE.
  • The position requires an individual to have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate and empower, a strong communicator, and the ability to take initiative and function independently to make all employees comply with the HSE requirements.
  • The position requires the individual to be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software. Ability to learn new applications quickly (e.g. Workhub). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
