Archon Resources is currently looking for a Project Manager for one of our clients located in Tulsa, OK. This is a contract-to-hire position. They use a hybrid work policy of 4 in office days and 1 work from home day (Friday).

About the Role
In this exciting and collaborative role, you will lead and manage many large, impactful and complex projects in the business or technology roadmap from start to finish to deliver high value solutions for the enterprise. You will build strong relationships with IT, operations, vendors, and business partners to understand their needs and lead a team to deliver innovative technology solutions.

You will lead engagement for the project(s) you are assigned. You will coach, mentor, and lead team members throughout the program and project lifecycle. You will present technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
 
Responsibilities
  • Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and the necessary resources for each phase of the project. Establishing a work plan and staffing is critical to your success.
  • Arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel and formulate and define the technical scope and objectives in conjunction with project staff to outline the work plan.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path items for simple project plans having multiple inter-dependencies such as departments, vendors and processes.
  • Negotiate with the project sponsor to ensure desired timelines and budget expectations are met.
  • Be the liaison to both internal technology staff and vendors to ensure they understand the business requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Work with IT partners, Operations Partners, Line of Business Partners and leaders across the company.
  • Manage the weekly/monthly reporting process and helps prepare information deliverables for the Project Management Office regarding progress toward project milestones.
  • Create, accept and assesses status reports, change requests, schedule modifications or plans as required including quality assurance test plans and quality assurance testing, and requirements documentation to ensure project progression.
  • Manage/participate in ongoing integration efforts.
  • May work in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

    • Experience in project/change management is essential.

  • SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS:
    • You know the specifics of gathering requirements, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management.

    • Your curiosity will drive you to think deeply, rationally, and creatively.
  • RESULTS ORIENTED:
    • You are decisive, organized, and take initiative as you focus on the desired deliverables, while meeting and exceeding your goals.

    • You express ideas clearly and concisely.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field of study with an IT focus and 3-10 years of directly related experience in Information Technology program or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Preference: PMP (Project Management Professional).
